Oh. forgot to mention abt this bold attempt in advertising which was featured in Straits Times yesterday or 2 days ago.
the regional chairman of a French agency - Publicis, is very pleased with SIA services, and as such, published a full-pg ad in an official letter format to seek for a meeting with SIA boss. i tot it was some kindda spoof or joke the company was trying to make when i 1st read the ad. i tot it is sth too personal or official to be announced to the entire population in Sg.
as expected, a spokesperson for SIA commented that:
"If an advertising agency wants to take out ads highlighting that their chairman is a happy and satisfied SIA customer, we welcome that support."
"But publicity stunts such as seeking meetings through the media when one has never been sought privately, are not the right way of furthering support. It's not fair to those involved."
"Let me assure our many loyal customers that they don't need to take out a full-page ad to have their ideas and comments heard by SIA," Mr Forshaw added. "A phone call, a fax, an email, even a letter — would have ensured we hear his comments!"

Hmm..i reckon that the bold pitch is not that successful in seeking the right attention afterall.
