Local performance artists Kill Your Television will go around the Esplanade with a video camera to tape message dedications. The recordings will be aired on two giant screens at the Outdoor Theatre between 7.30pm and 10.15pm.
And what better way to end the romantic night than watching an eight-minute fireworks display light up the sky over Marina Bay at midnight?
The countdown event is basically a seven-hour musical show featuring more than 30 local artists like singer and songwriter Corrinne May, R&B band Souls In Session and rock bands Electrico and Rafe.
I wanna watch fireworks.

Can vividly remember the amazing sparkling fireworks right before my eyes a few yrs ago when I was outside Raffles City with Xiqian and Quek. Dun ask me why we ended up there, cos I cant rem anything at all, except for the blast of fireworks which culminated that night.
By the way, it was National Day at Padang tat year.
I gasped in astonishment when watching the fireworks.
Was absolutely in awe.
Seeing fireworks right in front of you metres away.
