I am super sleeeeepyz and tired now.
Not in the very right mood to blog oso. But since I seriously close to being bored to tears, I shall attempt to rant and ramble here.
Well well.
Sent like a thousand and one emails to advertising and pr agencies in melbourne. seriously need to look for a decent job to keep me occupied for the 3 free days every week in the next sem. and of cos for the money too.
only one firm gave a positive reply so far. well, hopefully, if nothing goes wrong, i can can get the internship even thou its more like a marketing and design agency rather than advertising / pr.
well. shall not be picky.
so exciting. getta work in the city area. hmm, shall i move hse again? or shall i not.
dilemma.
pestered jinny for a moment ago to clarify some of the qns i have in mind with regards to the advertising world.
the main thing tat has been on my mind lately is my future in 4 mths time! wad?! u call tat a future?
anyway. of cos i know wad my interests are in. but stimes when ppl ask me which aspect of media industry i wanna get myself involved after graduation, the qns left myself puzzled at times too. wad the heck! an arts degree in monash is like shit! so wad if i double major in media and comms and psy? all the theories are all crap rubbish! wads the friggin use of learning all these theories / theses?
wtf.
unlike ty's communications degree in NTU where she gets to choose an area (out of 4) to specialise in, my degree has taught me nothing in the real media world. yes, i can grasp the concepts of the Second Media Age, Marshall McLuhan's Theory, the Linear Communication Process, the Frankfurt School of Thoughts and so on and so forth. And then?!
Does that make me realise my real interest in the media industry? its n o p e - nope!
Only when I started my internship at F did I start giving my so-called future some serious tots. Advertising / PR world is not so bad afterall. The high-paced working environment indeed poses a challenge. Only that the starting salary sucks big time. but ah well.
Wld prolly go into marcomm / advertising / pr / marketing etc etc. wish me luck in my 'future' endeavors man.
Enuff said. Or more like, enuff complaining.
Meeting ty @ chinatown later for dinner and some CNY shopping.

just a getaway trip over the weekend by myself without telling anyone where im heading.

Watched Kinsey - Let's Talk About Sex, last night with Jon @ Marina. Oh btw, do check out the food loft @ marina sq! the scenic view overseeing esplanade and the skyscapers @ shenton way is amazing, esp at night at the outdoor section of the food court.
love it.
anyway. back to the movie. not bad. a biology lesson learnt. a bit too graphic in some of the scenes (its R21 afterall) but educational overall. at least din waste jon's $6.50.

and yesh, i need to get textbooks soon. need to recee NUS and NTU bookshops real soon, to get my hands on the cheaper t/bs in Sg.
