HEAVE  - LET GO A HEAVY SIGH


A short film told in 5 parts, about heat and the mounting pressure of urban life amplified in unique situations.

An independent venture, spin off from a previous Singapore International Film Festival (SIFF) Special Achievements award.

(Individual synopsis*) We are looking for :



*LET   >> Two ladies ascending the corporate ladder share a secret weapon.

LADY A >> Earnest and innocent looking Chinese female in mid 20s.

LADY B >> Sweet looking Chinese female with a cheeky edge in mid 20s.



*GO          >> A deliveryman laments his dilemma of efficient(Re)productivity while keeping his cool.

MOTORCYCLIST >> Plump and disgruntled man in mid 30s, any race.



*A       >> A couple wrestles for power and control

MARGARET >> Slim, well groomed Eurasian with sharp features in early 30s.

SURESH   >> Handsome and nonchalant medium built Indian in early 30s.



*HEAVY >> Mother’s love replaces the warmth of the sun, but can her daughters grow up without light?

MAY    >> Exceptionally fair Chinese girl of 4 - 6 years old.  Cheerful disposition with curious eyes. Preferably bilingual.

MING   >> Exceptionally fair Chinese girl of 8-10 years old.  Pleasant disposition and effectively bilingual.

MOTHER >> Petite and frail looking Chinese in her mid 30s.  Fluent in Mandarin.



*SIGH    >> Father contemplates the future with his son.

ENGINEER >> Average Joe, Chinese of 30-40 years.  Haggard, Balding and highly stressed.

SON      >> Boy of 7-8 years old.  Expressive Body Language and eyes.

“A” >> needs a 3 or 4 rooms flat that has simple and grim furnishing. preferably one with a long kitchen .

“HEAVY” >> needs a flat or studio apartment with contemporary designer furnishing.
