I always feel very comfortable chatting to Landlord Uncle.
Is he an Aquarian? High chances he is one. Not that I am a strong believer of horoscopes, but I do notice how I bond betta with Aquarians.
haha.
Anyway. was paying my rent money just now, and somehow, the forever-friendly-and-chatty uncle struck a conversation with me on the topic of staying in auz. We digressed to other areas, and he related to me abt his r/s with his cousin back in his hometown (i think its msia) just b4 he came to melbourne for studies.
how depressing and unfortunate is that story of his.
on a brighter note, we engaged in some philosophical topics. abt how we shld always live our lives as if there is no tomorrow.
If you were to die tomorrow, wld u die with no regrets?
Always imagine wad ur tots wld be if u r lying in ur own coffin (touch wood of cos!).
Wld u have oredi accomplished much in ur life? No regrets of any sort? Have u led a happy ad satisfying life? Have u achieved anything significant in ur life so far?
He advised me to pen down my 5-yr plan (which i oredi have a rough guide) and the things I wanna do before leaving melb at the end of the 4 months.
which reminds me, yepz, i have always wanted to write down the stuff to do in melb, but im too lazy to organise my tots, and come up with all the points.
lazy pig!
was walking along yarra river yesterday at crown, and a strange feeling engulfed me. somehow, i felt like i was new to melb. all over again. like i was still with cheryl, during the 1st week in melb, strutting down the riverside, and taking pictures of the awesome 'fire' thingy like nobody's biz. wahahaha. time flies huh.
It's like an intuition. an instinct. to remind me of the remaining time i have left in this land, and tat i shld cherish my last sem in melb, and my last sem of studies (quite likely).
i shld really bring my camera along to all places i go in melb. to capture the moments, so that there will be physical evidence for me to recollect the memories in the future.
no doubt, the mind is a powerful mechanism to store memories. but images get blurry over time, and some may even get squeezed out of tat tiny brain.
so yeah. memories are most beautifully kept in physical form, althou they will forever leave traces in our minds.
