Came across this Newsweek cover of Patty Hearst in 1974:

There was a lecture about Terrorism: Hostages for COM subject this sem, and we were discussing abt Patty Hearst's kidnap case back in the 70s.
Brief summary (not like many wld be bothered, I guess):
Patricia Hearst is the grand-daughter of some media mogul (William Randolph Hearst), and she got abducted by this leftist Symbionese Liberation Army (SAL). She was locked blindfolded in a closet for a few months, and was completely brainwashed by the kidnappers. Her name was changed to Tania by the SLA, and she committed herself to the goals of SLA. Even more surprising to the public was when she participated in a bank-robbing incident (as captured by the image of her holding a rifle in the bank).

a very revolting picture
In view of the terrorism threats/scares going around the world, this picture can evoke quite some hoo-ha I guess.
