.... was 'Janz in the most solemn mood'. it was just something that I read in the morning which triggered a string of emotions, thus leaving me all so forlorn almost for the entire day.
this is not a joke. this is a real life murder case which took place in New York last month. i was appalled by the whole surrealism of it. bloggin, such a taken-for-granted routine for most of us, has proven not to only serve as a channel for self-expression, but oso as a medium to track down the most important information you wld have never dreamt of.
i am not gonna go into the whole discussion of bloggin issues, online identity and closure. thou there is this blog entry which, IMO, raises a good point abt cyber identities and how closure on the net differs from closure to one's real physical being in the real world.
what perturbs me the most is, well, once again, the fragility and insignificance of life. how easy it can be for a person's life to come to an end in just m-o-m-e-n-t-s (thou that prolly seems like eternity during the last few second of one's life).
one can simply be bloggin, sitting in a tute (in reference to the gunmen case in Monash almost 3 yrs ago), and before u know it, ur existence in this world is transformed to another form. within seconds. many things in our life are so routine-like that we dun even think abt it. we dun think abt how it can possibly affect us in the most adverse ways. well, of cos constantly worrying abt unnecessary issues is not warranted. but even for ppl ard us, our loved ones, the stranger who gave u a hand the other day, and maybe even that guy/gal who maligned u before, we have been taking all these things/ppl for granted most of the time in our lives. maybe not for u. but regretfully, i have to admit i havent been making the most outta my life and cherish wad i have and all those around me.
unfortunately, its hard to practise what one preaches. as much as i wld like to be the ideal person i desire, i do not learn my lessons as such. keep making the same old mistakes and falling into the same old trap. the motto in my blog..'never too late to say sorry' is prolly a goal i need to put more efforts into attaining.
alright. this is digressed more and more to abt myself. but well, my pt is, life was, is, and will always be vulnerable and susceptible to the slightest damage. its fragility should always serve as a reminder and perhaps as a principle to guide how we lead our lives.
to read this person's last entry of his life was unbearably hard, at least for me. i could not bring myself to read any further than his last entry. it was too much to bear, to much to reflect upon, too much to understand the meaning of life.
....
dun fret over the small stuff in ur life and start seeing and appreciating the beauty in everything and everyone.
