If you do notice, ppl in Australia tend to be much more friendlier.
Proof 01: Everybody in the company (well, in my office at least) greets everyone 'Good Morning' and 'Good Bye' every single day. No fail. Even if the person's desk is right in front of the door, but colleagues still take the extra effort to walk into the office to say Hi to everyone.
Proof 02: Aussies are extremely encouraging. It's like they somehow know you need it. The motivation and the morale booster. It can be a simple 'Good Job' or 'Excellent!', but such a gesture certainly makes your day.
Have heard of stories how Singaporeans tend to take your kindness and courtesy for granted, and instead of thanking you with a grateful smile, they are more likely to flash you the most uninvited stare, like you are some bad ass trying to act a kind soul.
Maybe Singaporeans are just too skeptical of the existence of goodwill in this world. Or maybe Asians in general? *ponder*
Lesson of the day: Most Aussies are nice people ;D
