tat was incredibly fast. the last 2 weeks have been a whirlwind of events for me. everything feels a bit surreal but im adapting fast to melb life again. once again, im back in melb.
so i was back in sg for the past 16 days. strangely, i did not feel that i ve left sg at all. thou i was really away for a good 5 mths. i did not forget to tap ez link when i got off buses. tat was one big sign that meant i felt i was at home again.
this is home, truly, where i know i must be...
gotta be patriotic la, Singapore's bday in 6 days' time.
so i went and came back. all in a span of 16 days.
all in all, i believe tis is the most fruitful trip ever. met up with as many buddies and galfrens i could possible squeeze in tat miserable short time frame.

the visit back at hwachong was quite a nostalgic one. can't rem when was the last time i went back to visit my trs. have been missing MAF celebrations every yr. but then again, it's not a biggie since it has been unanimously agreed that council sucks progressively.
stayed in NUS halls for 2 days. once in teng's room, the other time at guiduo's. to wake up as early as 6-ish am was no joke. guiduo and i dragged ourselves out of bed (yes the same bed) and started jogging 10 rounds in the NUS stadium track. it was quite motivational thou, to have a jogging companion there to boost your morale.
the surprise bday party for Jon at Danny's and Dennis' turned out well. phew..relieved. but your truly, the lousy organiser, din plan it too flawlessly, and thus was forced to reveal the surprise even before reaching loyang.
but i have to say, the chicken wings we had at the party was awesome! thanks to Jon's best buddy - Kayiu, for being the main organiser. fotos will be up soon.
my last date with Jon on the second last day did not start off too well, but ''the island'' made our day. most importantly, we were well aware that it was now or
the last thurs and fri were the best afternoons i have ever spent in my living memory so far. after 20 laps at the pool, i practically basked in rare sunlight for an hr or so. certainly a scarcity given that it rained everyday during the period that i was back. was a tad dangerous with UV light penetrating my skin without any sunscreen lotion as protection. but i was too delighted and excited to care about the aftermath (nose peeling). 2 afternoons in a row, i did nothing but feel the sun ray pierce my bare skin.
fantastic.
i seriously wonder when is the next time i get to enjoy slow days like this.
im now officially commited to the corporate world. the jungle of office politics. all out there to kill each other. haha. well. kiddin'. aint no such thing in my co. not big enuff to segregate ourselves into cliques and backstab each other. and like i ve said before, everyone here is well-mannered and the working environment is so conducive. where do you find an employer who treats you lunch every other friday? (yepz, we have friday lunches every alternate week for a bonding session)
2nd day at work today and everything is going well. better than i expected at least. and this is wad matters most. my job role is more defined now. and im focusing on areas i have more interest in. sweet! and the one thing that made my day yesterday was the biz trip to sydney in 2 wks' time. there is this exhibition that Pandu, Jon and I have to attend. air tics on co. expenses.
will be making my way there on friday and come back only on sunday (21 aug). exhilarated to catch up with irene again. and my favourite seafood from the fish market.
intend to embark on a one-day tour to the blue mts too. missed that out the last easter i went there.
so many things are happening. work going well. mum and aunt and cousin coming over for my grad (most likely). etc etc.
a good journey ahead!
